HOW CAMP!

Thanks for doing the survey! After ChatGPT and I analyzed the results, we got a plan to camp. There were split results for dates so pick the one you’d like to attend or both if you want to camp twice!

(P.S. I only sent invites to those who completed the form, but if you were sent the form originally you’re invited! Just fill out RSVP)

Ahhhhh, if a more foresty campground is your forte, Golden Gate Canyon is for you! Only a 45-minute drive from downtown, this place is accessible and flexible. The campsite is tent-only, so cars will be parked about 125 feet away, roughly 15-20 adult steps (according to ChatGPT). There is a large area with a tent pad and a picnic table for dining. Join me in traversing the meadow adorned with aspen trees and wild fauna.

Golden Gate Canyon
August Sat 3 - Sun 4

Campground: Golden Gate Canyon State Park, CO
    • Dogs are permitted in both the Reverend's Ridge and Aspen Meadows campgrounds and in the backcountry.

      • They must be on a 6-foot leash at all times and can not be left at your site unattended. It is important to keep your dog on a leash and under control so that it doesn’t negatively impact local wildlife or disturb other campers.

      • Please pick up after your dog. Dog and pet waste can take several months to decompose in addition to being an eyesore for those who see it.

    •  Please be advised that tying off to trees is prohibited and this includes hammocks. Hammock straps can constrict the part of the tree which nutrients flow through and, if repeatedly done in the same part of the trunk, kill the tree. We advise to plan ahead and prepare by bringing your own hammock stand or leaving the hammock at home.

Eleven Mile: July Sat 20 - Sun 21

Campground: Eleven Mile State Park, CO

Eleven Mile is a beautiful campsite featuring stunning views of Lake George and offering many trails to visit. Although not very private, as there are many sites here, there is much to provide a tranquil, soul-building escape. Despite the long 2.5-hour drive, being away from the city could be valuable for our TikTok, brain-rot heads. Hope to see you there and bathe in the scenery.

    • A maximum of six people, two motorized vehicles and one camping unit is allowed per site.

    • Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and all generators, radios, and other loud noises that may disturb other campers are prohibited during these hours.

    • Please make sure all garbage has been removed from your campsite each night and use the bear-proof garbage cans located around the park.

    • Campsite parking is only for visitors with campsite reservations for their specific sites. Visitors who are here for the day (day-use only) may not park in designated campsites.
